FRESH BASIL PESTO
1/4 cup pine nuts
2 cups fresh basil leaves
1 garlic clove
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
1/2 cup olive oil
salt, to tatse
black pepper, to taste
- Place all of the ingredients into a blender and pulse until desired consistency.
- Basil pesto is so versatile; you can serve it as a salad dressing, dip, pasta sauce or spread.
- Fresh Basil Pesto is also great to make for your last-minute party. Serve it as a main course over store-bought gnocchi (which are also easy to make) topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
